Very few people remember Municipal Stadium. I went to the races down there with a guy that was an electrician for his "real" job and raced cars as a hobby. This was my intoduction into short track racing. I can't for the life of me remember his name.

Wonderful site. Had the pleasure of meeting you and spending some time together several years ago (Cape May, NJ). I was wondering how you're doing and if you are still so active with your travels and Nascar?
Best wishes, karen

Who am I? My earliest memories are of watching Saturday night racing at Hatfield Speedway. I'm the kid standing next to you in one of your website pictures. I remember sitting in racecars with no fenders and the doors held shut with chains. Alot of Saturdays I didn't go out to play because auto racing was on the wide world of sports. As a teenager I'd save my money for weeks to see a Saturday night show at cowtown speedway. I remember working on a carburetor in Honolulu so my friend could get his car in the show that night. I was a regular west side crazy at Cajon Speedway until they shut it down. I think the Southern 500 were the toughest races ever run. I can name the original Alabama gang. I think Saturday nights at Irwindale speedway is the most exciting racing in all the southwest. WWho am I? I am an American race fan. It started in the sixties and will pass when I do. Thank you.
THANKS SO MUCH RANDY FOR SIGNING MY GUEST BOOK--I WILL FOREVER REMEMBER YOU AND ME IN VICTORY LANE TOGETHER AT HATFIELD SPEEDWAY IN 1962
